  • Philanthropy #1

This year we will be collecting a variety of hand crafted items to be given out at Christmas to care-givers through Piatt County Family Services. We will also be collecting personal hygiene items and cleaning products for this worthy cause.

Lap blankets, ditty bags, knitted gloves and scarves, whatever makes your heart happy to donate. We’ll have a representative of this great cause at camp to collect our much needed and much appreciated donations.

We’ve attached a few simple draw string bag patterns that you can use to create donation ditty bags (perfect for displaced children and adults to use for packing.) Head over to our Photos section to find the link.

  • Philanthropy #2

This year at camp we will also be making Pocket Prayer Quilts. Using our Class format we will bringing two old quilts that we will square off into smaller pocket size pieces, fusible prayerful sayings and words of encouragement that can be added along with embellishments, buttons and a small wooden cross.

We will be donating these to the Family Services of Piatt County as part of their Holiday gift bags to caregivers.

Please feel free to bring along your extra ribbons, charms, buttons and embellishments to share. Then sign up to sit and sew with us, offering good thoughts and hopeful wishes as we make these little treasures.

  • On Going Contributions

Each year proceeds from our Silent Auction and Raffle Ticket Sales are donated to the 4-H Memorial Camp General Fund.

In the past these funds have been used to purchase a new ice machine, additional tables and chairs as well as contributing towards the electric cords used for our projects.

This past year not only were we able to make a $1000 donation but we purchased new divider tarps for all the camper bathrooms. These will be delivered and installed the week after our camp.

We also purchased fabric to replace the last of the cabin curtains that needed love. We will be sewing these at camp this year and handing them over to the staff!
