craft classes

Greetings from your 2011 Craft Coordinators!

Our Homemakers' Camp roster is bursting with wonderful choices in exciting classes awaiting you. It will be difficult to choose from all that are offered. Sign-up for classes will begin in the rec shelter at 11:00 AM on Saturday morning. Please allow time for committee members to put all prototypes in place to better serve you. Sign-up sheets with each sample will inform you of any items you need to bring to your class. You might want to take notes on the supplies you need to complete your project for each class. Being prepared means being successful. And PLEASE, remember to consider carefully before you sign up for a class. When you sign for a class, you are obligating yourself to take the spot reserved for you in that class. The teacher expects your participation.

The Name Tag Contest last summer was overwhelmingly successful, so we are offering that again for Monday evening. Get creative!!! Start now to plan something wonderful with the theme of Wild Wacky Women for your name tag. Also, we will have for the first time on Saturday evening at 7:30 PM in the dining hall, a free painting class for those campers who bought a camp designed T-shirt or Tote. Those participants are asked to bring 3 bottles of fresh acrylic paint in colors of her choice for all to share. Please label them (address label) so you can take them back at the end of the evening. Bring your basic painting kit, paper towels and a shirt board covered in plastic. This will be such a fun and creative class and you will leave with an "Original Work of Art", a true Technicolor souvenir of camp 2011! Plan to attend!

In addition to our Saturday night T-shirt painting class, we have 7 class sessions including our Sunday evening offering. Through the support of our generous and kind teachers we are again offering our brimming craft basket to be raffled as well as the raffle for the beautiful quilt. Be sure to buy tickets...you may be the winner.

July is coming fast and we hope to see all of you for our wonderful Wild Wacky Women camp days. Look over this array of classes, enjoy the photos, and plan ahead for the classes you will take. July cannot come fast enough.

For your convenience, this year we have made a printable version of this information available for you to download here. Should you have any questions, please contact the committee members listed below. See you soon.
